Player of the Year Awards Night
For all our members old and new, It's that time of the season again, when the suits get dusted off and the shoes get polished, ready for our Annual Player of the Year night. This year again we are holding the event at the ever popular Masonic Hall in the Lint Riggs. (after our home game v Inverness Caley Thistle)
The Date: Saturday 21st March 2009 starting at 7.30pm going on until Late. We have yet again secured a Sponsor who will be present on the night, details will be revealed later.
As usual, after the presentation of trophies and awards to the members favourite players, the "food a plenty" buffet is opened up, afterwards a disco for those who are still able to do a bit of jigging, jiving, line dancing, whatever takes your fancy. The DJ will be taking requests and 'Amarillo' will be probably be blasting out occassionally! You are advised to bring with you, your camera and your autograph book, we are expecting a fair few Falkirk players to appear on the night.
Special guests will include ...... well, you'll have to wait and see, suffice to say you will not be disappointed.
There will be lots of raffle prizes to be won, for the biggies and the wee ones. Signed football strips etc, will you be taking home one of the major prizes this year ?
For those who have never been to our 'doo' why not come along and enjoy the spectacle, it's a great evening out, and for those who have been before, why not purchase a few extra tickets for your friends or family, they will thank you for it in the morning. Go on, you know it makes sense!
Tickets are on sale now priced again, at only £5, contact me to place your orders.
Members will be able to choose their Players of the Year, by completing their voting forms which everyone will receive shortly.
May the best player win!

Compaint to S.F.A.
One of our members recently contacted the S.F.A. regarding the parking arrangements at our Semi Final game v Rangers at Hampden. Below is the reply that was sent:
From: Carol Keith [mailto:Carol@ScottishFootballLeague.com]
Subject: Supporters Buses
Dear *******,
Re your e-mail concerning the parking for coaches for the Cup Semi-Final between Falkirk and Rangers on 27th January.
The parking arrangements for every match at the stadium have been in place for many years, and although the game was not a sell out the coach parking had to remain the same on the insistence of the Police Match Commander in relation to segregation issues. We always have to follow Police advice and segregation matters are of prime importance. I do agree that the distance from the stadium is not ideal but in such a built up area large parking facilities are few and far between.
I do hope you understand that such matters are outwith our control.
Regards,
Carol

Obituary
"Sadly on Saturday 8th November 2008, our most senior member Jimmy Dalziel passed away, aged 93 years.
Jimmy had been a member of the Supporters Club for many years and travelled on a regular basis to away games, until illness took its toll on him in the last couple of years.
Jimmy was "Proud to be a Bairn", and had many views on all things associated with Falkirk Football Club.
He was a good supporter of anything associated with the running of the football bus, and enjoyed the ongoing banter that was always generated, win or lose.
Jimmy still attended home games where possible, mainly thanks to the support of Cecil and Alex.
His character and opinions will be sadly missed by all his friends within the Supporters Club".
Fondly Remembered.
